WebDec 8, 2024 · So I want to replace my default Telstra Smart Modem, It's just not doing it's job as a modem/router and I'm looking to replace it, however Not quite sure how, some people have been telling me it's as simple as unplugging the modem/router, plugging in a new modem then connecting the router and waiting until it's setup. WebTelstra sends a text message saying they've realised we're having internet troubles and that they'll be sending a team out and our service will be down from xAM to xPM on xdate. In the meantime they've switched us to their 4g network while they solve the issue. The date comes and goes, nothing happens.
